Program Overview
Get the best of day camp and overnight camp with ShaiVenture! ShaiVenture campers spend their first week at Camp Shai’s traditional camp in Denver because traveling to Ranch Camp to join a Mini Camp session. Mini Camp is a perfect one-week experience for first-time campers looking to get a taste of summer at Ranch Camp. Mini campers are introduced to most of our program areas during their time at camp. From a campout under the stars (right in the heart of camp, enjoying all the comforts of camp like bathrooms!) to an adventure down the zipline to an afternoon rodeo at the barn, this week will leave campers wanting more. Our experienced staff are dedicated to making sure each mini camper feels supported as they explore new activities and build friendships.

Highlights
Camp Activities: During the time that Mini Camp is in session we strive to fill every moment with Ranch Camp’s best activities! Campers can plan on participating in most camp activities one time during their session including: swimming, dance, art & design, ZIPLINE, hiking, teva farm, theatre and tie-dye. Each day Mini Campers will also get to choose chuggim (electives) to pursue those activities they most enjoy!
Camp-Outs: Weather depending, Mini Campers will be taken on one camp-out during their session. Mini Campers will camp-out on our property at one of our closest camping locations (i.e. Eddie’s Corner, Niven Field, Pavilions, etc) and will have access to indoor bathrooms, if desired. So don’t forget to pack a sleeping bag! (Sleeping pad is optional)
Horseback Riding: In full-length sessions campers will ride three times however, do to time constraints on Mini Campers’ schedules they will have a Mini Rodeo instead of the typical arena lesson experience. During the Mini Rodeo, campers will get the chance to groom horses, play barn games and relay races and ride in the arena with one-on-one instruction from our riding instructors!
Keep in mind that because mini campers are only at camp for one week, they are not at camp long enough to experience every activity and will only be able to join one all-camp program like Maccabiah (a four-way team competition) or Yom International (a day celebrating all the places our staff come from). Mini campers may also head to bed earlier than older campers to ensure they get enough rest to stay happy and healthy at camp.
